Tripuraneni Ramaswamy (Tripuranēni Rāmasvāmi) (January 15, 1887 – January 16, 1943) was a lawyer, famous poet, playwright and reformer active among the Telugu-speaking people. Popularly known as Kaviraju, he is considered the first poet to introduce rationalism and humanism into Telugu poetry and literature. His son Tripuraneni Gopichand (8 September 1910 - 2 November 1962) was a Radical humanist, Telugu short story writer, novelist, editor, essayist, playwright and film director. Gopichand's daughter Rajani Subrahmanyam Katragadda, a third generation writer, introduces Cheekati Gadulu, a novel written by her father Gopichand to young audience, in an interesting way.
